"The Landscape Within" (distributed by Aquatic Films), had its World Premiere at the Singapore International Film Festival 2015, followed by almost 50 International Film Festivals worldwide. The documentary gathered several accolades in the department of photography, sound and direction.
Synopsis: Eric Nui Cabales, body-painter, costume designer, photographer and conceptual artist struggles to find new directions after the death of his father. With a strong desire to move forward, and with the support of a group of fellow artists, Eric finds purpose at the roots of his affections: Kayama, where the river and the sea meet, the landscape of his family's memories and the inner source of his inspiration.
“The Undertaker” (produced by Bianca Balbuena and developed at the first Al Jazeera Viewfinder Asia Program during Busan International Film Festival 2012), had its World premiere at the Singapore International Film Festival 2014, followed by a number of festivals and screening venues in Europe in 2015 (Madrid, Manchester, Tenerife, New York).
Synopsis: Ivan and his fellow watchmen are tasked to bust criminals in one of Manila's darkest cemetery, at night. When a political turnover forces them to leave their uniforms, the watchmen are at risk to cross the thin line between ‘being the law’ and ‘being against it’, and Ivan will be the only one to help them.
